About Us

Windproject, the brand of the Yidaki cultural association designs, studies, develops, produces and sells studio and concert didgeridoos.
The production of our instruments is based upon Andrea Ferroni's know-how and his experience, research and collaboration.
At the end of 2001, he started building instruments for himself, a duty for those who have to play at important events with a suitable instrument. Therefore, he's been delving and experimenting with his research in the sound field since then.


Yidaki Cultural association
Founded in 2004, it promotes the didgeridoo, its music and native Australian culture through various events and projects.
So far, it has produced: “Compilation.Didgeridoo.IT” in which numerous Italian didgeridoo players participate; “The DIDGERIDOO Discovery”, a complete method to learn how to play the didgeridoo; 2 CDs: “Breaking Through” and “Tribal Revolution”; a three-monthly magazine: “Yidaki News”.


Why no profit?
For some years to come, the didgeridoo will continue to be a fairly unknown instrument. Today, to make a profit out of sales, we should build cheap instruments using tubular pre-shaped poor materials (bamboo or plastic), or craft woods with cheap and inaccurate tools to the spite of sound and playability. We're sure that in the future the didgeridoo will become much more popular than what one might now think, the demand for great quality instruments will increase, like the number of skilled musicians. Therefore, we've chosen to invest our profits in research and in buying tools to improve the production cycles, yet keeping all the building stages hand-made.
